All to master Verbs, Adjectives and Nouns! VAN…The SPaG VAN!
Let’s remember the VN mantra of ‘Teaching Simplified, Learning Amplified!’. One of my great bugbears as a teacher was pupils really not having a strong enough grasp of the basics, in particular Verbs, Adjectives and Nouns, as it often prevented us moving onto more complex concepts which were dependant on them. I wanted to create a system that can be used throughout school to simply and effectively resource the teaching of Verbs, Adjectives and Nouns! The SPaG VAN does exactly this. In each year group there are 160 different resources, which are split into 8 different resource types and then there are five of each. This means a huge amount of variety and opportunities to teach and learn. 880 opportunities to be exact.
All of the SPaG VAN resources present the VAN content in ways that mimic SATs for KS1 and KS2, so teachers can expose children to the different question types that they will be expected to tackle in statutory tests. Every resource is available in PPT and PDF, has printable versions with 3 or 6 resources to a sheet, plus a full screen version to make teaching from the IWB easy with a few clicks.
