The Year 3 & 4 Image-Based Comprehension Bundle contains all 20 themed resources, giving pupils repeated opportunities to develop the retrieval, navigation and information-handling skills that underpin successful reading comprehension.

Rather than beginning with a traditional written passage, each resource uses a detailed, information-rich image based on the kinds of texts and information pupils encounter in everyday life. Pupils must look carefully, skim and scan, navigate different layouts and retrieve the correct information to answer a range of questions.

As pupils progress into Year 3 and Year 4, the challenge moves beyond simply spotting an object or label.
